A study presented at the American Thoracic Society annual meeting in San Diego has shown that all-night continuous-positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment reduces 24-hour resting heart rate in patients with prediabetes and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) thereby reducing their cardiovascular risk.
